What VERI*FACTU is

Invoices that reach the tax agency on their own.

VERI*FACTU is the Spanish Tax Agency's system for invoicing software: each invoice is registered the moment it is made and sent to the tax agency.

Since 29 July 2025, invoicing software sold in Spain has to comply. For your business, the tax agency sets the date: you'll find it in the questions below.

The Basque Country and Navarre use TicketBAI, not VERI*FACTU: for now MINGU's automatic invoicing is not available there.

  1. 1Registered when made

The software creates each invoice's record the moment it issues it and sends it to the Tax Agency.

  2. 2It carries a QR

With the QR code and the VERI*FACTU mark, the invoice can be checked on the Tax Agency's website.

  3. 3Never edited, corrected

Each record is chained to the previous one with a hash. An issued invoice is never edited or deleted: it is corrected with a corrective invoice.

  4. 4Until the end of the year

Whoever starts invoicing with VERI*FACTU stays with it at least until 31 December of that year.

How MINGU does it

From payment to the tax agency, with nothing copied by hand.

Your payments are already in MINGU: each gets its invoice straight away. You can also issue one by hand, with “New invoice”.

  1. 1You get paid

By card online, or at the desk in cash, card, Bizum or transfer.

  2. 2MINGU makes the invoice

A simplified invoice or, if your client gives their ID or tax number, a full invoice. Numbered in its series, with no gaps.

  3. 3It goes to the tax agency

Straight away, with its QR and hash. The agency usually answers in a minute or two, and you see it in Invoices.

  4. 4Your client has it

They see it in their app, and you download it as a PDF or print it whenever you like.

What automatic invoicing covers

Simplified and full invoices

  • Simplified invoice. Without the client's tax details, up to the limit you choose: €400, or €3,000 for sports facilities and the other activities of art. 4.1 RD 1619/2012.
  • Full invoice. With the client's ID or tax number: what companies, insurers and anyone claiming it want.
  • Invoice in exchange. If the client asks later, an exchange invoice is issued for the same amount.

Series and numbering

  • Your series. The letters you choose before the number, with the year: F2026-0142.
  • Simplified and corrective, apart. Each in its own series: T2026 and R2026.
  • Consecutive, no gaps. A number that was sent is never reused.

Taxes

  • VAT, IGIC or IPSI. Depending on where your business is: IGIC in the Canary Islands; IPSI in Ceuta and Melilla.
  • Exemptions by service. For example, the healthcare one in art. 20 of the VAT Act. Confirm them with your accountant.
  • Income tax withholding. On invoices to companies, if you are self-employed.

Correcting without breaking anything

  • Corrective invoices. For what is left of an invoice or for part of it: a partial refund, a discount.
  • Refunds. Each refund of an invoiced payment can create its corrective invoice straight away, or wait for you in Invoices.
  • Void. Only for an invoice that should never have been issued: a test, a duplicate, a sale that never happened.

Each invoice's status

  • Three figures. Registered, on their way and those that need your attention.
  • Clear notices. If the agency raises an issue, you see it in Invoices with what to do, and send it corrected.
  • Invoice and payment, apart. An invoice can be awaiting payment, and a payment can have no invoice.

For your accountant

  • One file per period. Invoices, payments, refunds, cash and a summary, in sheets that open in Excel.
  • Each invoice as a PDF. To print, send or keep.

A sample invoice

Every invoice looks like this.

With what the tax agency asks for and your invoicing details. The same one your client sees in their app.

  1. 1Tax QR and VERI*FACTUAt the top, to check it on the Tax Agency's website. It is the QR its record returns, so it always matches.
  2. 2Its series numberYour series, the year and a consecutive number.
  3. 3Your details and the client'sCompany name, tax number and address. On a full invoice, the client's ID or tax number too.
  4. 4Base, rate and taxFor each item, with the total in sight.
  5. 5The hashIts record's, chained to the previous invoice.

To turn it on

What you prepare, once.

  1. 1Your invoicing detailsCompany name, tax number and address, your invoices' series, your services' tax and, if you are self-employed, income tax withholding. Check them with your accountant.
  2. 2Your MINGU plan, active and paidAutomatic invoicing starts with your paid plan, not during the free trial.
  3. 3Turn it on in InvoicesThe business owner turns it on, confirming it will stay on VERI*FACTU until 31 December, as the law requires.
  4. 4One signature for the tax agencyYou authorise once that your invoices reach the tax agency on your behalf. With a Spanish ID or NIE, sign online with a photo of the document and a selfie; a company, with its representative's digital certificate. Free.

MINGU does the rest. It registers your tax ID on VERI*FACTU with Verifacti, an approved provider, and invoicing turns on by itself once everything is ready.

Price

Included in your plan.

No add-on and no cost per tax ID: invoicing with VERI*FACTU is in every MINGU plan, with registration and the authorisation signature covered by MINGU.

  • Turn it on when you need it, in Invoices, once your paid plan starts.
  • It is optional: keep your own program or accountant, and change whenever you like.
  • Up to 3,000 invoices a month per tax ID, plenty for a business. If you need more, let’s talk.
  • Per tax ID: each business with its own tax ID has its own invoicing.
Prefer your own software or accountant?

That works too, at no cost. MINGU keeps recording your payments and gives your client a receipt, which is not an invoice. You download the period's uninvoiced payments and pass them on. And if a client asks for an invoice in the app, with their details, you see it in your dashboard.

Questions

What people usually ask.

Another question about your invoices? Write to us.

Do I have to use MINGU's automatic invoicing?

No. It is optional: your own invoicing software or accountant are just as valid. If you don't turn it on, MINGU keeps recording your payments and gives them to you ready to pass on.

Does it cost anything?

No. It is in every MINGU plan, with no cost per tax ID or per invoice. Registration and the authorisation signature are covered by MINGU.

Can I turn it on during the free trial?

No. It turns on when your paid plan starts. During the trial you can get your invoicing details ready.

What about what I was paid before turning it on?

Those payments are not invoiced automatically: automatic invoicing starts with the payments from the day you turn it on. You download the earlier ones as uninvoiced payments for your software or accountant.

Can I stop whenever I like?

Whoever starts invoicing with VERI*FACTU has to stay at least until 31 December of that year. After that you can stop.

What if I make a mistake on an invoice?

An issued invoice is never edited or deleted: you make a corrective invoice for all or part of it, or void it if it should never have been issued.

Does it work everywhere in Spain?

Throughout the common territory, with VAT, IGIC or IPSI. The Basque Country and Navarre use TicketBAI, and for now MINGU's automatic invoicing is not available there.

Who sends my invoices to the tax agency?

MINGU, through Verifacti, an approved provider, on your behalf thanks to the authorisation you sign once.

Since when is VERI*FACTU compulsory?

For those selling invoicing software, since 29 July 2025. For each business, the tax agency sets the date and it has been postponed more than once: check the current one on the Tax Agency's website or with your accountant.
